Plumbing and fire protection

Clean water in, waste water out, and fire protection built to the code that applies to your building.

Built to the code in force for your permit

A building must meet the version of the safety and environmental code that is in force when its building permit application is made. SECCO checks installation designs against the law and the project's objectives, and coordinates with the relevant authorities for the permits needed to use the systems.

Our plumbing, sanitary and fire-protection work is done by qualified technicians, supervisors and engineers, trained for every type of installation in this field and backed by long experience and proven references.

What we install

Ten systems, grouped by what they do.

Water supply and treatment

  • Plumbing and sanitary distribution systems
  • Raw-water filtration systems
  • RO (reverse osmosis) plants
  • Swimming pools and fountains

Fire protection

  • Fire protection and sprinkler systems
  • FM200 fire protection systems

Drainage and waste water

  • Fast-flow drainage systems
  • Waste-water treatment systems

Gas, oil and compressed air

  • Gas distribution systems
  • Oil and compressed-air distribution systems

How a sprinkler system responds

Fire water is held in reserve, kept under pressure by the fire pumps and waits at the alarm valves. When heat opens a sprinkler head, water flows through that zone's valve, which raises the alarm.

Checked before the consultant sees it

Every installation follows a written SECCO method statement, and a project-management team supports the site officer. SECCO carries out site audits and quality checks.

Technicians and workers are trained in the correct working methods, guided by a quality manual and a safety manual, and our QA/QC system inspects the work before it is handed to the consultant.

Start-up, testing and commissioning are then carried out by SECCO's own professional team.

Fire protection for data centres

Data halls and their support rooms need suppression that protects equipment while it keeps running. In a data centre the suppression can be chosen space by space, as in the example here, with every zone reporting to a central annunciator panel.

SECCO's own scope covers fire protection and sprinkler systems and FM200 fire protection systems.
