Engineering and construction since 1978, for the buildings Bangkok lives, shops, heals and works in.

SECCO procures, builds and installs the engineering systems inside buildings, end to end: electrical, communication, air-conditioning, high-voltage, plumbing and fire-protection systems. It was founded in April 1978 by Poothian Pongpittayapa and a team of specialist engineers, and works for shopping centres, offices, condominiums, hotels, hospitals, factories and schools.

About 340 staff and about 2,000 site workers deliver the work under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system certified by SGS. Two specialist subsidiaries, SECCO HV and Grand Intersec, cover high-voltage infrastructure and condominium projects.

“We’ve changed our outlook to a broader concept which includes every facet of engineering from electrical, communication, construction, mechanical, high voltage and other design and value engineering systems.”

Mission-critical systems, tested before handover.

The MEP and utility experience SECCO has built since 1978, now applied to data halls: dual-source power, UPS, chilled-water plant, precision cooling and fire suppression, with redundancy built to the operator's Uptime tier or TIA-942 requirements.

  • SECCO's own mission-critical references include the Krungthai Bank Computer Centre.
  • The data-centre team's experience includes TRUE IDC, AIS Tellus II and TSS Terra phase 3 in and around Bangkok, and work in Abu Dhabi. Its project director has more than 40 years of data-centre experience overseas.
  • SECCO's commissioning team follows a staged process: factory acceptance tests at the manufacturer, site acceptance tests after installation, then functional and integrated systems tests before handover.
  • SECCO has worked with international firms such as PMX, Singapore Power and SEA Consult.
