Industrial
Power, air and process utilities that keep pace with production, with 15 industrial projects in our reference list, from food and semiconductor plants to aircraft hangars in Qatar.
Factories, food plants and airport facilities
SECCO's reference list includes 15 industrial projects. They include Hana Semiconductors, Nissin Food Factory in Pathum Thani, Thai German Meat Product Factory in Samut Prakan, Siam Sanitary Fittings, Smart Mold Factory and Thai Nam Plastic.
Two more are ground support equipment (GSE) references, Ground Support Equipment Service and Thai Airways. Abroad, the list includes the Emiri Hangars at New Doha International Airport in Qatar.
SECCO's mechanical engineers tailor chilled-water, piping and ductwork systems to factory buildings, and its electrical scope includes process and motor controls. For high-voltage and infrastructure projects the group has a specialist company, SECCO HV.
What a factory asks of its systems
Production sets the rules: downtime costs output, and processes bring loads and conditions an office never sees. These are the demands that shape a plant's engineering.
Power for process loads
Motors, compressors and production lines draw heavy loads, and a supply failure can stop a line or spoil a batch.
- A high- or medium-voltage intake with the plant's own substation
- Motor control and drives for pumps, fans and conveyors
- High-voltage lines and underground cable routes across the site
- UPS and emergency supplies for controls and safety systems
Controlled production spaces
Electronics, food and pharmaceutical production can need clean rooms, cold rooms or tight control of temperature and humidity.
- Clean rooms with filtered air and room pressure control
- Cold rooms and low-temperature process areas
- Ventilation and make-up air for hot or fume-producing processes
- Humidity control for sensitive products
Process utilities and water
Many plants distribute compressed air, gas or oil to their machines and treat their own water and waste water.
- Compressed-air distribution to machines
- Gas and oil distribution to process equipment
- Raw-water treatment and purified water
- Waste-water treatment before discharge
Safety and energy
Fire risk depends on the process and the goods in store, and large, flat factory roofs suit solar power.
- Sprinklers and fire alarm matched to the hazard
- Gas suppression for control and electrical rooms
- Lightning protection and earthing for roofs and tall structures
- Rooftop solar that supplies power during working hours
