History and awards

48 years of commitment and beyond: from a small building-systems contractor in Khlong Toei in April 1978 to landmark projects and the SECCO Training Center.

Our story

SECCO took its first step in April 1978, founded by Poothian Pongpittayapa and a team of specialist engineers. It began as a small building-systems contractor, with its first office in Khlong Toei.

The company grew steadily through integrity and better quality of work. It moved its office to Rama 3 Road, and then to the current head office on Soi Sukhumvit 107 (Soi Bearing) to take on large landmark projects.

Today our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and the company has held its juristic-person engineering licence from the Council of Engineers Thailand continuously. The SECCO Training Center keeps our people's skills in step with new technology.

    SECCO is founded

    Founded by Poothian Pongpittayapa and a team of specialist engineers, with its first office in Khlong Toei.

    ISO 9001 certification with SGS

    Our quality management system is certified by SGS from 16 January 2007.

  3. 2007
    First project in the Middle East

    SECCO expands into the Middle East, starting with the Doha airport project in Qatar.

    AFEEC Best Electrical Contractor Award

    From the ASEAN Federation of Electrical Engineering Contractors.

    ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award 2011

    Presented at CAFEO 29 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

    TEMCA M&E Installation Award 2012

    Presented by the Thai Electrical and Mechanical Contractors Association.

  10. Aug 2020
    Skill-test centre licence renewed

    The Department of Skill Development renews the licence of the national skill-standard test centre that TEMCA runs at SECCO.

  11. 2023–2025
    New courses and skill tests at the Training Center

    The SECCO Training Center adds AutoCAD, control-valve and water-treatment courses, then air-conditioning technician and level 2 electrician training and tests.
